Location: Home-based within UK.

Travel to our London-based head office and other locations across the UK required around once per month.

Hours: Full-time (37 hours per week.)

As a Software Product Manager, you will be a customer-focused and crucial member of our new Software Development team, ensuring we understand our users and that the applications we build are delivered to the highest possible standard. This is a unique opportunity to be a founding member of our software team, helping to establish the product management function and shape our development roadmap from the outset. The software products your team delivers, will be critical in helping Family Action deliver successful services that impact hundreds of thousands of children and families across the UK each year.

Main Responsibilities:
• Develop a deep understanding of user goals, needs and behaviour and champion a user-centric approach to product development.
• Apply business analysis and project management expertise to help shape the development roadmap and support successful project delivery.
• Contribute to building systems that are accessible, provide a thoughtful user experience, and help our diverse workforce to be productive and service-user-focused.
• Work closely with the Head of Software Development and colleagues to ensure the team's efforts result in the best possible outcomes for Family Action services.

Main Requirements (for details check the job description and person specification):
• Proven experience in a Product Manager, Business Analyst, or similar role within a software development environment.
• Demonstrable experience in gathering and documenting stakeholder and end-user goals and needs for complex systems.
• Excellent business analysis, project management and communication skills.
• A customer-focused mindset, dedicated to ensuring applications are delivered to the highest possible standard.
