Position Summary
We are looking to add an Experienced Estimator to our busy Commercial Team.
Responsibilities
* Produce high‑quality, accurate estimates presented in a legible, analytical and logical format.
* Process tenders, review tenders with the team prior to submission and identify risks.
* Acquire prices from our pool of sub‑contractors and prepare accurate take‑offs.
* Manage all aspects of bid preparation, preparation of enquiries to sub‑contractors, cost comparisons and bid strategies.
* Organise and attend site visits with clients and sub‑contractors.
* Attend client progress meetings to keep abreast of any commercial issues.
* Work on multiple tenders simultaneously in a busy environment.
* Undertake client tender presentations.
* Apply technical knowledge of construction methods to tenders.
Requirements
* At least four years of construction or interior sector experience on projects of varying values.
* Possession of, or a clear intent to obtain, a qualification in Construction & The Built Environment or a similar construction related degree.
* Familiarity with estimating software (Evaluate or equivalent) is desirable; full training will be provided.
* Experience with Eque2 / Evaluate, MS Project proficiency is an advantage.
* Full UK driving licence.
* Excellent computer literacy (Microsoft Word, Excel) and common‑sense approach to information sourcing and problem solving.
* Strong communication skills and a confident client‑facing attitude.
