Senior Quantity Surveyor — Chester — £65,000 - £75,000 + Package
The Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team and play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of high-value construction projects. Reporting directly to senior management, you will be responsible for the full commercial lifecycle of projects, ensuring profitability, compliance, and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage all aspects of cost planning, reporting, and commercial control across projects.
* Act as the commercial lead for key accounts, developing strong, trust-based relationships with blue-chip clients.
* Oversee subcontract procurement and contract administration.
* Provide accurate financial forecasting, cash flow management, and cost/value reporting.
* Support project teams in delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest standard.
* Mentor junior members of the commercial team and contribute to best practice within the business.
About You
* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally at senior level, within main contractor or management contracting environments.
* Strong knowledge of construction contracts and commercial management.
* Excellent communication and client-facing skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
* A collaborative mindset — committed to delivering solutions, not disputes.
* RICS qualification (or working towards) preferred but not essential.
