Full training apprenticeship will be provided for any successful trainee candidate.
Apprenticeship wage £12.71. Increase applied on qualifying, post qualifications and role. The hours will be 22.25 hours worked over 3 days.
Salary will be prorated to agreed working hours.
The Job Role:
* Provide chairside assistance, ensuring that the correct equipment is available.
* Keep the clinical areas, equipment and instruments clean, tidy and sterile as appropriate according to the practice’s health and safety and infection control procedures and manufacturers’ instructions.
* Use our mouth scanner to ensure our patients are given the best experience and record these inpatient notes.
* Prepare the necessary materials and instruments.
* Meet and greet patients with a friendly and professional manner.
* Accurately complete patient clinical records as directed on SOE Exact.
* Continually interpret the needs of the patients and dentist and deal with them promptly and efficiently.
* Work within our Front of House team to provide excellent customer service.
* Take all reasonable methods to ensure patient comfort.
* Follow all practice policies and procedures.
* Observe patient confidentiality at all times.
* Ensure adequate stocks of materials and other items within the surgery.
* Liaise with reception to ensure smooth patient communications and transfer of records.
* Other duties as necessary for the efficient operation of the practice – Reception cover when required.
* Undergo training as may be required to develop your skills and abilities.
* Attend refresher and update training for medical emergencies and CPR decontamination and radiology.
* Act in accordance with the practice rules and code of conduct.
* Work at other practice locations from time to time as required.
* Maintain GDC registration.
* To maintain and increase competence in nursing skills by actively following a programme of continuing professional development.
