Robert Half is partnering with a leading travel organisation to recruit an Underwriting Assistant for an initial 8 month rolling contract
Responsibilities
1. Process and administer new and renewal applications for bonds, insurance policies, and memberships.
2. Verify completeness and accuracy of application information prior to underwriting review.
3. Draft and issue renewal invitations, quotations, indemnities, bonds, and policy documents.
4. Maintain accurate records and client data on internal systems.
5. Support the Underwriting Director and underwriters with day-to-day tasks and case management.
6. Provide a high standard of service to both new and existing clients, guiding them through the application process.
7. Respond to enquiries in a professional and knowledgeable manner, ensuring timely resolution and follow-up.
Experience:
8. 3 + years experience in underwriting or experience as an Underwriting Assistant - working within travel insurance would be highly desirable
9. Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
10. To carry out the administrative processes for new and renewing bonds, policies and memberships to the standards set by the company.
11. Familiarity with insurance policies, terminology, and underwriting processes
12. Strong communication and customer service skills.
13. Understanding of data privacy and insurance regulations
14. Ability to maintain confidentiality of client and company information
15. Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable working with databases and client management systems.
Organisation:
16. Initial 8-month contract - Underwriting Assistant
17. 4 days per week in the London Office
18. Day rate - Inside IR35
