Role: Occupational Therapist (Adults, Grade I)
We are seeking a qualified Occupational Therapist to join Barnet’s Adults Early Intervention Team, a multi-disciplinary team of social workers, assessment and enablement officers, and occupational therapists. This hybrid role involves one day per week in the office, with the remainder of the time spent carrying out community visits and working from home.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide high-quality occupational therapy assessments for adults with physical, sensory, or learning disabilities, and for carers.
* Safeguard adults and carers at risk of harm, promoting wellbeing and Making Safeguarding Personal principles.
* Undertake and review individualised, outcomes-led care and support plans.
* Support people to maintain independence and wellbeing by signposting to preventative services and providing advice.
* Carry out enablement reviews for individuals coming out of hospital or referred via the front door and MASH team.
* Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver effective interventions.
* Promote continuous professional development and contribute to service improvement.
Candidate Requirements
* Degree in Occupational Therapy (or equivalent).
* Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
* Experience working with adults in social care, health, or community settings.
* Strong knowledge of legislation, HCPC guidelines, and adult social care outcomes frameworks.
* Excellent communication, assessment, and case management skills.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team.
* Commitment to safeguarding, wellbeing, and continuous professional development.
