Pay Rate: £13.75 to £14.50 per hour (depending on experience)
Teaching Personnel is recruiting for a SEND Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in the Prescot (L34) area starting October 2025.
Responsibilities
Support pupils with special educational needs and disabilities to access learning and participate in activities. Work with staff, parents, and external professionals to support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development. Contribute to a safe, stimulating, and supportive environment and maintain a calm, patient, and inclusive approach. Be adaptable and respond to a range of situations. Participate in training and professional development opportunities as required.
Qualifications / Ideal Candidate
* Be calm, patient, and nurturing in their approach
* Have a genuine passion for working with children with additional needs
* Be adaptable and able to respond to a range of different situations
* Communicate effectively with pupils, staff, parents, and external professionals
* Work well within a team and take initiative when needed
* Have a willingness to undertake training and professional development opportunities
* Ideally, have previous experience in a similar role (although this is not essential)
