Your new role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Teacher of Science to join our dynamic department. You will teach Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach KS5 Physics, Chemistry or Biology for the right candidate. You'll be part of a highly dedicated and professional team, delivering engaging lessons and fostering a love of science in our students. Additional responsibilities may be available depending on experience and interest.
Your responsibilities will include:
Planning and delivering challenging and inclusive lessons.
Monitoring student progress and providing constructive feedback.
Promoting high standards of behaviour and academic achievement.
Supporting students' emotional and social development.
Collaborating with colleagues and engaging with parents to support learning.
What you'll need to succeed
We're looking for a teacher who:
Holds a good degree and Qualified Teacher Status.
Has recent and successful experience teaching science across at least two key stages.
Demonstrates excellent subject knowledge and a passion for science education.
Is an effective communicator, able to inspire trust and confidence.
Has strong classroom management skills and a commitment to inclusive education.
Is organised, resilient, and able to work effectively under pressure.
Uses data and ICT to inform planning and enhance learning.
Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
