Job Opportunity: Rehabilitation Co-Therapist - Brain Injury Rehabilitation
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, hardworking, and motivated individual to join our specialised Brain Injury Rehabilitation team.
Role Overview: You will work as a Rehabilitation Co-Therapist, delivering therapy and supporting individuals with acquired brain injuries to rebuild their lives, regain independence, and enhance their quality of life.
Location: The Brain Injury Rehabilitation Unit, a 12-bed specialist inpatient unit at Sid Watkins Building, Aintree, Liverpool.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Contribute to the delivery of a planned programme of care under the supervision of a qualified nurse.
2. Implement individual rehabilitation programmes as defined by the team, either under supervision or independently.
3. Report observations and provide feedback to the qualified nurse verbally and in writing.
4. Assist in behavioural management and baseline assessments to aid in care planning.
5. Carry out physical rehabilitation tasks under the guidance of physiotherapists, speech therapists, occupational therapists, and nurses.
Training and Development: We support staff with brain injury training; previous experience is not essential.
