About our nursery
Supporting our local community is important to us. We regularly visit a nearby residential home for dementia patients and actively fundraise for local charities, nurturing a strong sense of community and belonging for our children.
We love helping children connect with nature through our outdoor spaces, which provide a rich learning environment full of opportunities to explore, play, and discover the natural world.
How you’ll spend your time here
You’ll be helping to provide cover for the children as and when needed. This could be for periods of holiday, sickness, or vacancy gaps. Sometimes you'll support for a full day, or it may just be a morning or afternoon session.
You’ll likely start most of your days with a fully formulated plan… That will soon get completely derailed, but pivoting when circumstances call for it is a regular occurrence in child care.
Creativity is key. Teaching young children allows for hands‑on arts and crafts, storytelling, exercise, and educational games. It’s important to keep things fresh and try new activities to keep attention spans engaged. We work within the EYFS standards, but that doesn’t stop you from engaging your creative flair and enthusiasm for learning.
