Key Responsibilities of the Teaching Assistant (TA):
Provide in-class support to pupils across a range of abilities.
Assist the class teacher with lesson delivery, planning, and behaviour management.
Work one-to-one or with small groups of pupils to support learning and engagement.
Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment for all students.
Support children with additional needs, including SEND, where required.
Monitor and report pupil progress to the class teacher and SENCO.
Requirements:
Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role.
A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning) is desirable.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
A patient, resilient, and empathetic approach to supporting children.
Have an up-to-date CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
