Role Description
This is an on-site part-time position located in Kendal for a Community DASA Worker (IDVA). The role involves providing direct support to individuals affected by domestic abuse, delivering case management, and connecting clients with resources and services within the community. Daily responsibilities include conducting risk assessments, creating safety plans, and maintaining client confidentiality while ensuring effective communication with all stakeholders. The position also requires coordinating awareness and outreach efforts to foster a supportive and informed community environment.
Qualifications
* Strong Interpersonal Skills, including empathy, active listening, and relationship-building
* Experience in Community Support and Community Health initiatives to assist individuals in accessing relevant resources
* Proficient Communication skills, both verbal and written, for engaging with clients and partners effectively
* Background in Case Management, including planning, coordinating, and monitoring individualized support
* Knowledge of safety and risk assessment protocols is highly desirable
* Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups and within multidisciplinary teams
* IDVA qualification, Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is an advantage
* Experience working in domestic abuse support or advocacy is a plus
