Mid / Senior Business Support Role | East & South London

We are seeking experienced and proactive Business Support Officers to join a pool of professionals providing high-level administrative and operational support across various boroughs in East London and surrounding areas. This is an excellent opportunity for mid to senior-level professionals who excel in fast-paced environments and are looking for flexible contract work within local authorities, public services, or related sectors.

* Job Title: Mid / Senior Business Support Officer
* Location: East & South London (Enfield, Bromley, Southwark, Bexley, Havering, Hillingdon, Tower Hamlets)
* Contract Type: Contract | Full-Time / Part-Time
* Pay Rate: £14.50 – £22.00+ per hour (depending on experience)

About the Role

Roles are available on a full-time or part-time basis, offering flexibility and variety. Ideal candidates will be confident, organised, and capable of supporting senior leaders, coordinating projects, and ensuring the smooth operation of day-to-day business activities.


Key Responsibilities

* Provide comprehensive administrative and executive support to senior managers and teams
* Organise and coordinate internal meetings, minute-taking, and follow-up of action items
* Manage calendars, bookings, communications, and documentation
* Draft high-quality reports, correspondence, and presentations
* Maintain office systems and ensure process compliance
* Support project teams with tracking, reporting, and stakeholder liaison
* Identify and implement improvements to existing administrative processes


Ideal Candidate

* Previous experience in a Business Support, PA / EA, or senior administrative role
* Holding Enhanced / Basic DBS check
* Excellent time management and attention to detail
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital tools
* Ability to manage sensitive information confidentially
* Experience working across multiple departments or public sector organisations (desirable)
* Understanding of local authority or public sector operations
* Available to start immediately
