Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and experience working with children in a nursery setting. This role requires excellent communication skills, leadership qualities, and the ability to create a nurturing and stimulating environment for young learners.
Responsibilities
* Provide high-quality care and education for children aged 0-5 years, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
* Develop and implement engaging learning activities that promote the physical, emotional, and social development of each child.
* Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication and collaboration.
* Maintain accurate records of children's progress and development, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Support the management team in maintaining a high standard of nursery practice, including health and safety protocols.
* Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
* Assist with daily routines such as meal times, nap times, and outdoor play activities.
Qualifications
* Proven experience working with children in a childcare or nursery setting is essential.
* A qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent is highly desirable.
* Strong management and leadership skills to guide junior staff members effectively.
* Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
* A genuine passion for childcare and the ability to create a warm, welcoming environment for children.
* Driving licence preferred to facilitate travel between locations if necessary.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also demonstrating initiative when required.
