Join to apply for the Senior Healthcare Support Worker - Theatres role at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust.
We have a number of vacancies for experienced theatre Senior HCSWs in our Bristol Adults, St Michael's and Children's Hospitals.
Working as an SHCSW in the operating department, you will be supporting our patients at their most vulnerable, before, during and after their operations. Teamwork and flexibility are essential requirements for the role, alongside a caring and compassionate nature.
You will be expected to work a variety of shifts, including days, nights and weekends.
Should you wish to take your career further, there are plenty of opportunities available to you, with apprenticeships available for either Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) or Registered Nursing Associate roles.
Please note, this role does not currently meet the salary requirement for certificate of sponsorship. From the 9th April 2025, the minimum salary required for a Skilled Worker visa became £25,000 per year. While this role may be offered at a higher point on the pay scale depending on relevant NHS experience, most new starters are appointed at the bottom of the band, which does not meet the new salary threshold.
