About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Humanities Teacher to join a dynamic and forward-thinking school in Uxbridge. The successful candidate will deliver engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, covering subjects such as History, Geography, Religious Studies, or a combination within the humanities curriculum. You will be passionate about inspiring students, encouraging critical thinking, and helping learners understand the world around them.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons aligned with the national curriculum
* Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports all learners
* Assess, monitor, and report on student progress effectively
* Encourage curiosity, debate, and analytical thinking in humanities subjects
* Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment activities
* Maintain strong classroom management and uphold school behaviour policies
* Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and leadership teams
Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* Degree in a relevant Humanities subject
* Experience teaching Humanities at secondary level (preferred but not essential for ECTs)
* Strong subject knowledge and a passion for education
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
Desirable Skills
* Ability to teach across multiple humanities disciplines
* Experience using innovative teaching methods and technology
* Track record of improving student attainment and engagement

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
