Job Description
This role involves designing and developing electronic circuitry and firmware for portable and handheld electrical equipment, including redesigning existing products for annual launches and maintaining product lines due to component obsolescence and changing standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Design electronic circuitry and firmware for portable electrical equipment.
* Maintain existing product line, e.g., due to component obsolescence or changes in standards.
Person Specification
* Proven track record of product design in electronic/electrical equipment (test and measurement equipment, domestic goods, personal electronics, etc.).
* Experience with inverter development or EV BMS design.
* Programming of real‑time embedded firmware and proficiency in C.
* Analogue and digital electronic design skills.
* Experience with schematic capture using Altium or similar.
* Experience in high‑voltage technology designs.
* Design to legal/safety standards.
* Exposure to ST MCU design is an advantage.
* Familiarity with higher voltage such as mains or EV is advantageous.

Qualifications
We welcome applications from those with experience as Electronic Design Engineer, Electrical Design Engineer, Firmware Engineer, or Systems Engineer (C, C++, MCU). Knowledge of low‑voltage systems, high‑voltage technology, instrumentation, product design and R&D is highly valued.
