Adult & Paediatric Administrator/Crisis Worker - Cumbria
The role of an Administrator/Crisis Worker is critical in providing victims of sexual assault with the dedicated support and care required.
Acting as the advocate for patients who attend the centre, you will empower service users to feel in control and support them during forensic procedures to manage patient care pathways.
Main duties of the job
Key responsibilities will include:
1. Being the first point of contact for service users.
2. Supporting the process for service users and their families visiting the centre, including preparing patients and assisting in the collection of forensic evidence.
3. Ensuring a high standard of DNA anti-contamination is maintained between forensic cases (cleaning).
4. Assisting patients and liaising with other agencies regarding the management of the service user pathway.
5. Supporting preparation, providing service user support, and acting as an advocate during their time at the SARC.
6. Being a key team member within the SARC and wider company network.

Job responsibilities
Location: Cumbria SARC
Additional Locations: Cumbria for off-site medicals
Salary: £12.75 per hour
Hours: 36 hours per week, shift hours 09:00-21:00 (12-hour shifts), Monday to Friday in the office; weekends and bank holidays on call.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* This position is restricted to females only due to the nature of the role, under the Sex Discrimination Act, Section 7(2)b and 7(2)e.
* A UK driving license and access to a vehicle are required as travel across SARCs may be necessary.
* Advanced DBS and Level 2 Police vetting are mandatory.
Experience
* Basic IT and administrative skills.
* Experience in a supportive or customer-focused environment.

* Understanding of confidentiality principles.
