Our client is looking for a highly organised and approachable part time Administrative Assistant to support daily operations across several key service areas within the education sector. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys wants a part time role, has strong attention to detail, and communicates confidently.
Working closely with the Operations Manager, you will provide essential administrative support. Whilst you mainly will be based in the back office, you will also cover reception when required. The role involves managing enquiries, maintaining records, and ensuring a welcoming and professional front desk experience for all visitors.
This is a part-time, term-time-only role suited.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Operations Manager with general administrative workflow and provide support to the wider admin team.
Prepare documents, reports and communications using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other relevant systems.
Log absence notifications received via phone or email onto internal systems.
Produce letters, notifications and other correspondence in line with organisational guidelines.
Deliver a professional and friendly front-of-house service, answering calls, responding to messages, and directing enquiries as needed.
Greet visitors, manage sign-in procedures, issue appropriate ID and notify relevant staff of their arrival.
Manage the reception inbox, assess enquiries, and route them to the correct departments.
Skills & Experience:
Previous experience in an administrative or receptionist role is beneficial.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and multitask.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Confident using Microsoft Office, especially Word, Outlook and Excel.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Start Date: 5 January 2026
Salary: £12.87 per hour
Location: BD5 - fully onsite
Working Pattern: Part-time (2–3 days per week has to be Wednesdays, term time only)
Hours: 8AM - 4PM with a 30 minute lunch
