Bank Staff Nurse

We are looking for skilled bank nurses to join James Paget Hospital.
To assess the basic and specialist care needs of patients and implement care without direct supervision. The nurse should always act in a manner that justifies public trust and confidence and safeguards the interests of individual patients.
Main duties of the job
The post holder is responsible for assessing care needs, developing, implementing, and evaluating care programmes. Ensure that standards of nursing practice within the ward/department are maintained. Adhere to all Trust, Divisional, and Ward/Department Health & Safety Policies. Maintain personal contact with patients, other healthcare disciplines, relatives, and visitors. Provide mentorship and support to new staff and student nurses. Undertake appropriate enhanced roles following necessary training, e.g., IV drug administration, ECG recording. Ensure the safe custody and administration of drugs in accordance with Trust Policy.

Person Specification
Education and qualifications
* Registered nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)
* Diploma/degree in nursing studies or working towards it
Experience and knowledge
* Relevant experience within the past 12-18 months caring for patients in a healthcare environment
* Previous NHS experience within the last 12 months
* Experience in an acute setting
* Broad clinical knowledge base
