Part-Time Bookkeeper Salary & Benefits: * Competitive hourly rate (dependent on experience) * 25 hours per week, working 9.30am – 2.30pm * On-site parking * Friendly and supportive team culture * Company pension scheme * Reporting directly to the Managing Director Role Overview: As a Part-Time Bookkeeper, you will oversee the full end-to-end finance function, ensuring accurate financial reporting and adherence to relevant legislation. This role requires strong experience with Sage 50 and the ability to work independently within a fast-paced and expanding business. Key Responsibilities: * Prepare monthly management accounts * Generate and issue weekly sales invoices using Sage 50 * Manage purchase and sales ledgers, including credit control * Process and reconcile accounts payable and receivable * Prepare and submit VAT returns in accordance with HMRC requirements * Run payroll and pension submissions * Monitor and chase overdue payments; manage the debtor ledger * Reconcile monthly bank statements * Produce monthly cash flow statements * Assist with year-end accounts and liaise with external accountants Skills & Experience Required: * Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a finance role * Strong working knowledge of Sage 50 Accounts * Experience in payroll, cash flow management, and VAT returns * Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills * Ability to work independently and meet deadlines * Confident communicator for liaising with customers, suppliers, and internal teams * Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) * Flexible, with a willingness to support other departments when needed Desirable Attributes: * Experience working within a small to medium-sized business environment * Knowledge of the manufacturing or industrial supply sectors
