Our client, a fast-growing multi-site business, is seeking an experienced Financial Reporting Accountant to support their finance function. This role is ideal for a technically strong accountant who can deliver high-quality reporting, manage complex accounting areas, and drive improvements. Role Overview Ownership of goodwill accounting, including calculations, postings and reconciliations. Support acquisition accounting activities, including hive-ups. Prepare adjustments between US GAAP and FRS 102 and maintain clear technical documentation. Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, offering guidance to junior team members. Provide technical accounting support and ensure compliance with relevant standards. Support internal controls, governance, and process improvement initiatives. Assist with automation projects and respond to external audit queries. Candidate Profile Qualified accountant (minimum 5 years PQE). Strong experience in technical accounting within a fast-paced, multi-site environment. Proven ability to resolve complex financial issues and deliver reporting to tight deadlines. High-quality balance sheet reconciliation experience. Excellent communication skills, able to summarise complex information for non-financial stakeholders. Strong IT skills and ability to manage multiple priorities. Desirable: US GAAP knowledge; experience in retail, medical, or other specialist sectors. This role offers hybrid working and flexibility.
