The post holder will be the Consultant Psychiatrist for the Greenwich West Anxiety, Depression, Personality Disorders and Trauma Team (ADAPT) with Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust. This position has been temporarily covered for the past 3 years by the Associate Specialist acting up in the team.
The post holder will not have responsibility for inpatients but will participate in the bed management strategy within the Community Mental Health (CMH) Directorate. The directorate adopts a whole system approach to bed management, with twice daily meetings between community and inpatient clinicians to ensure efficient bed usage. Additional community support is provided through our admission avoidance team, home treatment team, and crisis house, which may reduce the need for hospital beds.
