Job description
Our consultancy client is looking for a Framework Modelling Manager to join their Wastewater team in Derby/Birmingham on a permanent basis.
Due to unprecedented investment in AMP8, our client is seeking Framework management support for wastewater hydraulic modelling frameworks on Severn Trent Water.
Our clients' collaborative and multi-disciplinary team is one of the largest in the UK, providing water and wastewater infrastructure services alongside drainage design, SuDS and surface water management. Their wide variety of clients span across the UK and internationally and include water companies, local authorities, highways / rail authorities, and developers.
Skills/experience/qualifications
1. Experience working in the UK water industry, with proven skills in growing and building strong relationships with clients.
2. Experience in managing projects, leading teams, and development of people.
3. Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to have technical discussions with colleagues and clients in a logical and coherent manor.
4. Experience of hydraulic model build, verification, and solution development, including knowledge of the use of InfoWorks ICM, as well as GIS packages.
5. Relevant degree or vocational qualification.
6. Chartered with a relevant professional institution (i.e. ICE or CIWEM), would be advantageous.
Responsibilities
7. Leading a dynamic project delivery team, responsible for the successful delivery of one of our hydraulic modelling frameworks.
8. The development of client relationships with our key Water Company and non-Water Company clients.
9. Project Management, including managing resources, budgets and programmes and coordinating with other disciplines.
10. Project Management of DWMPs and other projects including Hydraulic Model Build and verification, Storm Water Management, SuDS, drainage, option development, SOAF and WFD.
11. Driving continuous improvement in project delivery.
12. Development of tender responses and fee estimates.
