Weighbridge Administrator
Salary: £12.84 per hour
Hours: Full-time, 9-month contract: Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM – 4:30 PM.

As a Weighbridge Administrator at FCC Environment, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and compliant operation of our landfill site weighbridge. You’ll be responsible for weighing vehicles in and out, maintaining accurate records, and supporting the site manager in line with all relevant policies and environmental permits.
This vacancy is for a full-time position, working 5 days per week.
What are we looking for?
We are seeking someone who can demonstrate:
Experience:
- Proven ability to meet demanding work requirements and deliver excellent customer service
- Experience in health and safety, ideally within a landfill or weighbridge environment
- Sound knowledge of weighbridge operations
Knowledge:
- Understanding of duty of care and customer care
Personal Attributes:
- Adaptable and friendly approach
- Computer literate
- Willingness to undertake any reasonable request and support the wider team
What will you be doing?
- Weighing vehicles in and out using the Gladis Weighbridge System
- Monitoring Waste Transfer Notes and EWC code usage
- Assisting the site manager with reporting and compliance
- Inducting site users in safety procedures and directing site traffic
- Maintaining a polite and helpful manner with customers, suppliers, and colleagues
- Supporting site administration, purchasing, and front-of-house operations
- Ensuring all activities comply with health, safety, and environmental requirements
