The Role You'll Play
In this Graduate Design Manager role, you’ll join a team that designs some of the most exciting data centre projects in Europe and worldwide. Working under the guidance of an experienced design management team, you’ll develop your knowledge and skills by assisting with the overall management and delivery of projects.
You will liaise with all design discipline teams, track progress, and assist with coordination of design-stage issues. You’ll use design management tools such as schedules and trackers to record meeting discussions, monitor deliverable schedules, maintain project filing systems and protocols, and support other coordination activities.
Over time, you’ll develop design management skills and progress towards a project leadership role with greater responsibility and autonomy. You’ll be supported toward achieving chartership through accredited professional development programmes.
The Skills You\'ll Bring
* You\'ll be on target to achieve at least a 2:2 degree
* Desirable to have or be on course to achieve a Masters in Engineering or Design/Construction Management related courses
* Proactive, able to take on responsibility and drive issues through to completion. Strong organisational, planning and time management skills
* Collaborative, with excellent written and verbal communication. Use initiative to overcome challenges with a positive, can-do attitude
* Willingness to develop and maintain technical knowledge of projects to understand design principles and participate in discussions with internal and external parties
* Desire for personal and professional development, able to work effectively as part of a team, organised and methodical
