Fitter / Mechanical Fitter / Workshop Engineer required to join a global engineering manufacturer.
The successful Fitter / Mechanical Fitter / Workshop Engineer will work on the mechanical fitting, stripping, assembling, and maintenance of industrial pump systems and other rotating equipment in the workshop near Brentford. Full training provided.
The Fitter / Workshop Engineer / Mechanical Fitter will ideally have practical, hands‑on experience and be used to getting stuck into physical mechanical work, someone who enjoys taking things apart, rebuilding equipment, and working with tools day‑to‑day.

Role
* Carry out mechanical fitting, stripping, and assembly of pumps and rotating machinery.
* Strip down equipment, replace worn parts, and rebuild to specification.
* Inspect and test mechanical components, spotting wear or faults.
* Support general workshop repair and maintenance tasks.
* Work closely with other engineers to keep jobs moving.
* Commutable to the workshop in Hanwell, West London daily.
Requirements
* Experience in a hands‑on role such as Mechanical Fitter, Workshop Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, Service Technician, Apprentice Engineer, or similar.
* Comfortable working with tools, doing physical/mechanical work, and “getting your hands dirty.”
* Strong practical ability — assembling parts, using spanners, working on machinery.
* Interest in mechanical kit, pumps, engines, rotating equipment, or anything you can take apart and rebuild.
* Positive, willing to learn, and happy working in a busy workshop environment.
* Must be able to commute to the workshop near Hanwell, West London.
