Transport Planner
Erith
Start Date: August 2025
Temp to 12-Month Contract (for the right person)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm
Pay Rate: £14.50 per hour
About the Role
Premier Recruitment Group is proud to be partnering with a leading production company based in Erith, seeking an experienced Transport Planner to join their Transport Department.
This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced team while supporting the delivery of a cost-effective and efficient daily transport operation.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and produce daily transport schedules in a cost-effective manner
* Build relationships with sub-contractor partners
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date transport records
* Conduct driver debriefs and follow up on CAPAs including root-cause analysis
* Support the export delivery planning process
* Provide admin support to internal teams and external customers
* Deliver excellent customer service across all touchpoints
* Commit to ongoing personal and professional development
* Carry out additional tasks as directed by management
Person Specification
* Previous experience in a Transport Planning role
* Strong geographical knowledge of the UK
* Excellent organisational and time management skills
* Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
* A proactive and independent worker who can also operate well in a team
* Customer service experience is desirable
