The Role
This is a pivotal leadership role with full technical and operational responsibility for electrical infrastructure and industrial automation across a complex, safety‑critical environment.
* Shaping and delivering the site’s automation and controls strategy
* Leading a multidisciplinary engineering team, building capability and driving performance
* Delivering high-value CAPEX programmes across electrical and automation systems
* Ensuring the integrity, compliance, and reliability of HV/LV distribution and control systems
* Driving optimisation of PLC and SCADA architecture to support operational excellence
* Embedding robust engineering standards, safety practices, and long‑term asset strategies

The Person
We are looking for high‑calibre engineering leaders who combine deep technical expertise with proven leadership in complex environments.
* Strong foundation in electrical engineering and industrial automation, including PLC and SCADA systems
* Experience operating at a senior level within manufacturing, process, or high‑hazard industries
* Demonstrated success leading teams and delivering technically complex projects
* Thorough understanding of electrical distribution, compliance, and safety frameworks
* Credibility and presence to influence stakeholders across engineering and operations
* Proactive, solutions‑focused approach with the ability to operate effectively in evolving environments
Exposure to regulated environments and safety‑critical operations will be advantageous.
Located in Ayrshire, this role would be commutable from Irvine, Kilmarnock, Prestwick, Ayr and Glasgow. Relocation assistance can be provided.
