Job Description
The Head of Business Development is responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities, building tactical and strategic partnerships, and strengthening client relationships for the FrasersPlus product.
Key responsibilities include:
* Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy aligned with company goals.
* Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, competitive dynamics, and expansion opportunities.
* Define and track KPIs to measure growth performance.
* Establish a sales model to drive additional revenue and manage lead generation across face‑to‑face, virtual, LinkedIn, webinars, and sales materials.
* Build and maintain sales artefacts (including webpages) and guide sales to contract and handover to implementation teams.
* Expand strategic partnerships and identify new opportunities.
* Run sessions with senior stakeholders to highlight pipeline opportunities and risks.
* Ensure compliance and risk management for potential new partners.
* Lead the development of product features and monetisable partner solutions.
Team Development
* Create session reports and stakeholder updates.
* Manage partner pipeline including compliance checks.
* Establish and mentor a small team to pursue new opportunities.
* Address partner challenges and improve partnership processes.
* Advise on product development and partner monetisation.
Qualifications
* 5+ years of business development or commercial leadership; 3+ in senior roles.
* Experience scaling businesses, ideally in UK retail lending or financial services.
* Knowledge of FCA UK regulation for lending products.
* Strong understanding of BNPL and equivalent product features.
* Adaptable tactics for securing leads and business.
* Extensive contacts within the UK retail sector already established.
* Self‑motivated and willing to travel across the UK.
* Excellent presentation skills and proficiency in MS Office.
* Relevant degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or equivalent.
