The role involves building scalable APIs, integrating with search and knowledge graph platforms, and ensuring system performance and reliability. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Java-based backend development, microservices architecture, and cloud-native technologies, working closely with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver high-quality software solutions. Key Responsibilities Backend Development Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs for enterprise applications. Build scalable and high-performance microservices-based architectures using modern development frameworks. Implement RESTful APIs and GraphQL services to support frontend and system integrations. Write clean, maintainable, and reusable code following industry best practices and coding standards. Develop automated tests and documentation to ensure software quality and maintainability. System Ownership & Operations Take ownership of services end-to-end, including deployment, monitoring, and operational support. Monitor system performance and reliability using relevant metrics and observability tools. Contribute to maintaining system stability by identifying and mitigating operational risks. Support production deployments and assist in troubleshooting issues in live environments. Technical Incident Management Investigate and resolve production incidents while minimizing customer impact. Perform root cause analysis and implement long-term solutions to improve system reliability. Participate in incident reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of operational processes. Architecture & Design Contribute to technical discussions and support architectural decision-making. Evaluate and recommend technology solutions aligned with functional and non-functional requirements. Design scalable solutions considering performance, security, and future scalability. Continuous Improvement Identify opportunities to improve development processes, system performance, and engineering standards.
