Detailed job description and main responsibilities As a Business Intelligence Developer, you will: Design, build and maintain Power BI data models and reporting outputs using curated, governed datasets. Create clear, interactive dashboards that highlight trends, performance and variation. Act as a subject-matter resource in Power BI, supporting colleagues with design and functionality queries. Gather and interpret user requirements to ensure reports meet operational and strategic needs. Identify emerging trends or performance issues using defined KPIs and metrics. Work with data engineers and data scientists to align reporting with trusted data sources and models. Support the migration of legacy reports into consistent, reusable formats. Apply Agile and DevOps-aligned delivery practices using Azure DevOps and Jira. Test, validate and document reports to ensure reliability and transparency. Design reports with appropriate data access, performance and usability in mind, ensuring outputs are secure, scalable and aligned with organisational standards. Contribute to team knowledge sharing, peer review and small-scale process improvements. Communication Proactively engage with team members and other stakeholders to gather data requirements and support the development of effective working relationships, verbally and in writing.
