At RUH, we are currently recruiting for two experienced Cleaning Managers to join our Cleaning Department, providing hands-on management to the cleaning team within RUH. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your career as a cleaning management professional in a forward-thinking department.
Our department is recognized for making a difference by enabling change, getting things done, and continuously challenging or improving the service provided to patients and colleagues. The shift patterns are Monday - Friday, covering various shifts mostly between 08:00 - 22:00, with flexibility to cover annual leave, evenings, nights, and one structured weekend per month.
Main duties of the job
1. Deliver managerial control of cleaning and facilities services to a high standard within the hospital.
2. Manage cleaning services and general facilities procedures, ensuring statutory and quality standards are maintained.
3. Provide quality cleaning services to patients and staff, monitoring against standards and taking remedial action as needed.
4. Manage front-line cleaning teams, including wards, clinical areas, departments, and outer areas.
5. Ensure economical and correct use of equipment and materials, maintaining stock control procedures.
6. Ensure efficient distribution of stock and non-stock items.
7. Conduct investigations, write reports, and present findings to senior managers.
8. Ensure team achievement of KPIs related to cleanliness, hygiene, and training.
9. Manage a duty manager and cleaning supervisors to maintain standards throughout the building.
