Overview
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Multiskilled Technician Mechanical to join our Estates & Facilities team. This is a key role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of mechanical systems across the hospital site. You will work both independently and collaboratively to deliver planned and reactive maintenance, contributing to a high-quality environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
Responsibilities
* Undertake mechanical maintenance tasks and minor repairs across the hospital estate.
* Respond to planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive tasks in line with departmental service level agreements.
* Work flexibly across disciplines within the Estates Maintenance Team.
* Ensure compliance with national and local Health & Safety policies, procedures, and risk assessments.
* Participate in the on-call rota, with site attendance required within 40 minutes.
* Support small projects and contribute to the continuous improvement of Estates services.

Qualifications
Essential
GCSE level education or equivalent experience; Proven experience in mechanical maintenance; Strong customer service and communication skills; Good organisational skills and IT literacy; Ability to work methodically and pay attention to detail.
Desirable
Relevant qualification and/or time-served apprenticeship; Knowledge of decontamination processes; Understanding of Health & Safety practices and risk assessments.
