Situated in North Worcestershire, Redditch Borough Council manages St Davids House, an Extra Care Scheme housing 54 tenants.
The role involves cooking, preparing, serving food and beverages to tenants and visitors attending the Luncheon club, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness in all kitchen areas to meet Food Safety Standards.
The main responsibilities include:
1. Cooking approximately 50 meals daily, including food preparation.
2. Preparing a weekly menu.
3. Setting up the service area for meals and ensuring good food presentation.
4. Washing up crockery, cutlery, and kitchen utensils, following Health and Safety, COSHH, and Safer Food Better Business practices.
You must hold or be willing to train towards a Basic Food Safety Level 2 Certificate within 3 months and have some kitchen experience.
