Salary: $118,297 – $125,543 per annum 12% Employer Superannuation contribution (in addition to salary) Salary in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023 Post Graduate Allowance up to 10% (based on qualification type) Remote & Rural Professional Development Allowance: $3,797 per annum 10% Remote Allowance Salary Packaging Benefits:Up to $9,010 living expenses per FBT year $2,650 meal entertainment per FBT year Additional benefits if eligible The Position The Clinical Nurse Consultant – Aged Care is the clinical lead for Lyell House, the Residential Aged Care Facility at West Coast District Hospital.
Key responsibilities include: Leading and promoting best practice in aged care nursing and geriatric medicine Acting as Infection Control Lead for West Coast District Hospital Conducting comprehensive assessments and care planning with residents, families, and multidisciplinary teams Providing expert clinical advice and support to staff Supporting quality improvement, risk management, and compliance activities Assisting the NUM and DON with documentation, reporting, policy development, and admissions Supporting staff education and professional development in collaboration with the Clinical Nurse Educator Collaborating with the Activities Coordinator to oversee resident activities Applicants must submit a 1–2 page application outlining their experience, skills and knowledge relevant to the Statement of Duties.
