An esteemed and welcoming school near you is seeking a SEN teaching assistant to join their team. Applicants must be dedicated, committed, and passionate about making a difference. This large, specialist provision supports learners with complex SEN needs, including Autism. The school is known for being bright, inviting, and calm, providing an environment where learners can thrive. It offers an education focused on both academic and life skills, supported by a long-standing and highly supportive team. You will join an established team of over 10 TAs in the secondary department. The setting supports children aged 5-19 and is oversubscribed year after year. It is a therapeutic environment where children's needs are prioritized.
This role is Monday to Friday, 9 am to 4 pm, and is a temporary to permanent position.

Your responsibilities will include:
* Providing teaching assistance according to the teacher’s planning
* Working 1:1 with students
* Leading group and individual activities planned by the teacher
* Supporting learners in developing their work
* Promoting the general well-being of learners
* Monitoring and evaluating students' learning under teacher guidance
* Assisting in managing a purposeful learning environment
* Supporting learners across all curriculum areas in structured activities
Key skills and experience needed:
* Ability to work with learners with various learning difficulties
* Willingness to learn and build relationships with learners
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Flexible approach to education
* Experience in SEND settings is desirable but not essential
