Central Employment are working with a fast growing eCommerce business in County Durham, as they look to expand there in-house Marketing and eCommerce team. They have a new opportunity for an eCommerce Merchandiser, to work alongside there dedicated Marketing Manager.

Role and responsibilities:- As our eCommerce merchandiser, your primary responsibilities will be end-to-end product and catalogue curation, identifying and delivering improvements to the website and wider eCommerce environment.
Responsibilities will include:
Creation, monitoring and optimisation of product listings (including descriptions, meta data, attributes, cross sells/up sells, images and videos etc)
Product and category page keyword and SEO optimisation
Configuration, monitoring and reporting of promotions, sales and offers
Product inventory management
Manage third party marketplaces
Improvement of site search performance
Identifying opportunities to improve and do things differently
Identify assets & content required to improve the customer journey
CMS page creation / update and improvements
Testing of new functionality or bug-fixes prior to go-live
Product pricing and margin management
Skills & Experience Required: 2/3+ years previous eCommerce experience
Knowledge of SEO and SEO best practice
Understanding of CRO and UX
Experience of creating, optimisation of product descriptions and listings
Knowledge of and experiencing using Shopify/Shopify Plus
