We're looking for an experienced
Senior Graphics Software Engineer
(contractor) to join a cutting-edge research team working at the forefront of real-time 3D graphics. You'll help optimise GPU drivers, build advanced rendering solutions, and enable world-class performance on next-generation mobile devices.

Core Responsibilities
* Develop
GPU driver innovations
to optimise real-time rendering pipelines and performance.
* Implement and extend
graphics APIs
such as
Vulkan, OpenGL ES, and DirectX
.
* Analyse workloads, identify bottlenecks, and optimise GPU drivers and API usage on mobile.
* Bring up and evaluate new devices, working with hardware and OS teams to define GPU requirements.
* Operate across
middleware and hardware layers
, ensuring apps can run at peak efficiency.
* Investigate, debug, and resolve complex issues at the driver and kernel level.
Essential Skills
* Proven experience in
real-time embedded software development
for mobile devices.
* Strong expertise in
Vulkan
(plus OpenGL ES/DirectX).
* Deep knowledge of
GPU architecture
, especially mobile vs. desktop differences.
* Advanced proficiency in
C++
(with solid C).
* Strong OS fundamentals: memory management, multithreading, kernel/user mode.
* Excellent debugging, optimisation, and problem-solving skills.
Highly Desirable
* Experience with the
Android Graphics Stack
(Compositor, HWUI, HAL).
* Familiarity with
ARM 64-bit architecture
.
* Background in
game engine or graphics middleware development
(not gameplay).
* Understanding of CPU/GPU hardware optimisation.
* Knowledge of
Java, Python, or neural graphics processing
