A leading Northampton (NN4) based manufacturer is seeking skilled Welders to join their growing production team. Working in a modern, well-equipped facility, this role plays a vital part in the fabrication and assembly of high-quality metal components.

Key Responsibilities
* Tack and weld metal components to specification, ensuring accuracy and quality at all stages of production.
* Check and measure components before and after weld against drawings and tolerances.
* Carry out grinding, fettling, and finishing using air and electric hand tools.
* Work safely and efficiently, maintaining high standards of housekeeping and workplace organisation.
* Support team performance targets and contribute to continuous improvement.
* Undertake other reasonable duties as required, with appropriate training provided.
Candidate Requirements
* Ability to weld to AWSD1.1 and AWSD15.1 (UK equivalents: BS EN ISO 9606-1 and BS EN ISO 5817) is advantageous.
* Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
* Strong practical welding and fabrication skills with a hands-on approach.
* Reliable team player with good communication skills.
* Willingness to work flexibly and uphold safe working practices.
* Good attention to detail and pride in delivering quality workmanship.
Physical Demands:
This role involves manual work and handling heavy components with lifting aids such as magnetic and chain hoists.
Salary & Hours
* Early Shift: £15.60 per hour (6:00am – 2:00pm)
* Late Shift: £16.60 per hour (2:00pm – 10:00pm)
* Flexibility: Higher rate available for welders qualified to AWSD1.1 / AWSD15.1 standards.
* 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
