IT Projects Lead

We are recruiting an IT Projects Lead who will play a key role in shaping how projects are delivered across a busy IT services organisation. The IT Projects Lead will oversee a varied portfolio of customer projects and take responsibility for developing the structure, processes and standards used within the projects function.
As the IT Projects Lead, you will coordinate technical resources, manage project lifecycles and act as the main point of contact for clients throughout delivery. You will ensure that each project is properly scoped, planned and tracked, with clear communication and strong organisation throughout.
This position gives the IT Projects Lead the autonomy to introduce better project practices. You will help build consistent documentation, improve workflows, streamline governance and contribute to a more mature and scalable delivery process. It suits someone who has managed multiple IT projects before and wants influence over how a projects function evolves.
What the IT Projects Lead will be responsible for:
* Leading several customer IT projects at any one time
* Coordinating with engineers to schedule and prioritise work
* Overseeing project lifecycle activities from planning to completion
* Building and improving workflows, templates and delivery processes
* Maintaining strong client communication and managing expectations
* Identifying risks early and keeping projects progressing smoothly
* Being onsite regularly and visiting customers when needed
We are looking for someone with:
* Experience in an IT Projects Lead or similar role within an MSP or IT services provider
* Ability to manage a fast moving project portfolio
* Understanding of infrastructure projects such as migrations and system rollouts
* A process driven mindset with confidence building structure from scratch
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
