Overview
About The Role: As a Deputy Home Manager, you’ll be making sure the level of clinical care we offer goes beyond just professional standards and statutory, regulatory, and legal requirements. This means providing specialist nursing support and advice, taking responsibility for resident care in the Home Manager’s absence, and supervising/coaching colleagues to provide a service that’s unparalleled in its empathy for resident issues.
Responsibilities
* Ensure the level of clinical care meets required standards; provide specialist nursing support and advice.
* Take responsibility for resident care in the Home Manager’s absence.
* Supervise and coach colleagues to deliver a service that demonstrates empathy for resident issues.
Qualifications
* Valid NMC Pin.
* Knowledge of National Standards and the NMC Code of Practice.
* Background in person-centred care planning within a care home.
* Ability to mentor, manage time effectively, and keep meaningful records.
* When communicating with residents or co-workers, be truly considerate and kind.
* Safeguarding: recognise signs of possible abuse, harm or neglect; attend safeguarding training appropriate to the role; seek appropriate advice and report concerns, including escalation if action is not taken.
