Responsibilities
* Leading and coordinating SEND provision across EYFS and KS1, ensuring a consistent and high‑quality approach throughout the school
* Supporting and coaching teachers and support staff to deliver inclusive, adaptive teaching and effective interventions
* Monitoring, evaluating and reviewing the impact of SEND interventions, using data and evidence to inform next steps
* Working in partnership with families, valuing their insights and ensuring their voices are central to decision‑making
* Liaising with external agencies, including educational psychologists, therapists and local authority services, to secure the best outcomes for pupils
* Ensuring compliance with the SEND Code of Practice, maintaining accurate records and contributing to statutory processes such as EHCPs
* Modelling excellent classroom practice and supporting the professional development of colleagues through training and guidance
* Contributing to the wider life of the school, promoting a culture of inclusion, empathy and high expectations for all

The successful candidate will have completed the National Award for SENCO Accreditation or NPQ for SENCOs, or be prepared to undertake this qualification.
