Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHSFT
Closing date: 30 June 2026
The post holder will work with a multidisciplinary team of doctors, nurses, social workers, psychologists, psychotherapists, and creative therapists. The team consists of approximately 42 full‑time equivalent positions, split as 34 clinicians and 8 admin staff.
The service receives approximately 3,704 referrals per year. All new cases are seen first by the multidisciplinary team for a mental health assessment. Follow‑up psychiatric assessments are conducted for specific concerns such as eating disorder, under‑16 psychosis, moderate or severe depression, obsessive‑compulsive disorder, severe self‑harm, or complex cases. In all cases where a psychiatric opinion is sought, the cases are brought to one of four MDT weekly meetings.
It is expected that the Consultant will have approximately 2–3 patient‑related contacts per clinical session. These may include review appointments (face‑to‑face or remotely), therapeutic treatment appointments, multi‑agency meetings, CPA reviews, consultations with other clinicians, or clinical supervision.
Consultant offices are located at Kimberworth Place (Rotherham), The Crystal Building (Doncaster), and St Nicholas House (Scunthorpe). The majority of non‑remote clinical work will be done from these bases.
