We are seeking an experienced Claims Handler to join our client's busy office team. The role is to ensure that insurance claims are handled efficiently and effectively, providing advice to clients on making a claim and guiding them through the likely processes involved.
You will be the first point of contact for clients making a claim, ensuring all necessary information is collated and properly notified to the insurer. The position requires strongmunication skills, attention to detail, and amitment to delivering excellent customer service in line with industry andpany standards.
Your new role
1. Act as the first point of contact for clients making a claim, collating all required information and notifying insurers.
2. Guide clients through the claims process, providing timely updates until payment or conclusion.
3. Utilise the office system to follow up on outstanding issues such as reports or third‑party details.
4. Ensure clients are treated fairly and receive excellent service, adhering to legal requirements, industry regulations, andpany quality standards.
5. Respond to enquiries from clients, brokers, and underwriters in a courteous and helpful manner.
6. Obtain andmunicate all required information to the appropriate department.
7. Assist with general administration tasks as required.
What you'll need to succeed
8. Experience within insurance is essential; claims handling experience strongly preferred.
9. Strongmunication skills, both verbal and written.
10. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
