The Trustees are looking to recruit to the post of Education, Health and Care Plan Lead (MAT Leave cover)
New Bridge School, Roman Road, Hollinwood, OL8 3PH
NJC Scale points 26-28: £37,280 - £39,152 (full time equivalent)
Actual Salary Range pro rata: £31,885 - £33,486 per annum
SEN Allowance: £1,539 per annum
Hours: 36 hrs 40 mins per week/Term Time plus 5 days (195 days)
Commencing as soon as possible MAT Leave Cover

Part of the wider New Bridge Multi Academy Trust (MAT), New Bridge School is a generic special needs school for pupils and students between the ages of 11 and 19 across four sites within Oldham. The main lower school is situated on Roman Road, Hollinwood although some students are based in Oldham Town Centre. There is also a 6th form based in Fitton Hill and a College in Oldham Town Centre.

We are now looking to recruit an experienced and highly motivated Education, Health & Care Plan Lead to be fully responsible for the day-to-day operation, co-ordination and facilitation and the annual review process for students under the purview of the New Bridge School.

The primary purpose of the role is to ensure that all processes relating to individual Education, Health and Care Plans are carried out in accordance with regulatory requirements. This will involve co-ordinating and facilitating the annual review process for individual students. The role also involves active participation with the schools pastoral team; working flexibly to promote collaborative working and partnership internally and externally. Previous experience in this area of work is preferable, although full coaching will be provided.

Key requirements for any candidate are:

* Communication skills to influence, advocate, motivate and engage with a wide range of children, young people and their families including presenting to a wide range of audiences.
* Listening skills to support children, young people and their families through understanding their point of view in a non-judgmental approach
* Experience of using computer packages for word processing, spreadsheets, databases, e-mails and researching information
* Experience of undertaking a wide range of office-based administration and clerical tasks
* A high standard of professionalism, both personal and written skills.
* To be able to adopt the school and team ethos.
* Initiative to plan and prioritise own workload without close supervision and to respond to unexpected problems using recognised procedures and policies as a guide.

This post will be subject to a number of pre-employment checks including an enhanced DBS check, satisfactory references and proof of right to work in the UK in accordance with the Asylum and Immigration Act 1996. Salary: £31,885 - £33,486 per annum per annum plus SEN allowance £1,539 per annum
Hours of work: 36 hours 40 minutes per week Term time plus 5 days (195 days)
Location: Roman Road Hollinwood Oldham.
Commencing: As soon as possible
Status: Fixed term to 31st August 2026 (or sooner if the postholder returns)
