About the Role
Join Salford City Council as our Contracts and Performance Manager (Legal and Governance). This newly created role offers an opportunity to shape the future of legal service delivery across Greater Manchester.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Leading the management of our legal services contract, ensuring compliance, performance, and financial accountability.
* Developing and implementing performance frameworks, KPIs, and reporting mechanisms.
* Acting as the key liaison between Salford and Manchester legal teams, fostering strong stakeholder relationships.
* Monitoring budgets, forecasting financial risks, and ensuring accurate reporting.
* Championing innovation and continuous improvement in legal service delivery.
We’re looking for someone who has:
* A degree or equivalent experience in contract/business management or a related field.
* Proven experience managing large-scale contracts, ideally in the public sector.
* Strong knowledge of legal frameworks, contract compliance, and performance management.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
* A commercial mindset with a commitment to public service values.
