We specialise in the design, supply, and installation of a wide range of prefabricated energy solutions, typically built in NI and shipped throughout the UK & Europe. We also offer turnkey design, build, and operate solutions for commercial energy centres and large-scale district heating solutions and have experience with successfully procuring and delivering many similar packages to a wide range of public bodies throughout UK & Europe.
Team Overview:
The Contracts department oversees the delivery and execution of projects from initial mobilisation through to completion and handover. Acting as the bridge between design, commercial, and on-site teams, the department ensures that all contractual obligations are met while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. With a focus on planning, resource coordination, and problem-solving, the Contracts team plays a key role in ensuring our projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the satisfaction of our clients.
Role Overview: The Dispatch Operative is responsible for ensuring that all products are accurately picked, packed, and dispatched in a timely and efficient manner, maintaining the high standards of quality and safety that Alternative Heat is known for. This role is key to the smooth operation of the supply chain and customer satisfaction.

What You'll be Doing
Receive, process, and organise orders for dispatch.
Pick and prepare products for delivery according to order specifications.
Accurately pack and label products to ensure safe transportation.
Load and unload goods as required, using appropriate equipment safely.
Maintain accurate records of dispatched goods, ensuring documentation is complete and compliant with company standards.
Coordinate with transport providers to schedule pickups and deliveries.
Assist in stock control, including checking inventory levels and reporting discrepancies.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized dispatch area in line with health and safety standards.
Support the operations team with ad hoc duties as required.
What You Need to Have
Previous experience in a dispatch, warehouse, or logistics role.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
Basic IT skills for handling order systems and records.
Physically fit, able to lift and move stock as required.
Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Knowledge of health and safety procedures in a warehouse environment.
What You Would Ideally Have:
Valid Forklift Truck Licence.
Valid Combi Lift Licence.
Experience of using warehouse management systems (WMS).
Knowledge of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practices.
Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment.
Full UK driving licence.
