Configuration Manager / Engineer – Defence Projects Location: Greater London (on-site 3 days per week)
Contract: Outside IR35

We’re supporting a leading consultancy seeking an experienced Configuration Manager / Engineer to join their established team in Greater London. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-profile and technically complex engineering programmes.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and coordinate configuration management activities across major engineering projects.
Ensure all configuration data, baselines, and documentation are controlled and compliant with standards.
Support planning, reviews, and audits to maintain quality and consistency.
Collaborate with engineering, project, and quality teams to drive best practice in configuration management.
Contribute to continuous improvement of configuration processes, tools, and governance.About You:
Degree or equivalent experience in Configuration Management or related engineering discipline.
Proven background in defence, aerospace, or maritime environments.
Strong understanding of configuration standards (e.g. Defence Standard 05-057).
Experience leading configuration activities on complex projects.
Confident working within structured engineering and quality frameworks.Additional Requirements:
Sole British National (required for security purposes).
SC clearance preferred (or eligibility to obtain).
