An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated Principal Teacher of Expressive Arts to join our team at Brae High School.
Our beautiful location offers great opportunities for learning and we benefit from an excellently resourced school, at the heart of a caring, supportive community.
Brae High School is a non‑denominational school located in Brae. It provides early years, primary and secondary education up to S6. The school has a total of 340 pupils (Secondary – 182, Primary – 120, Nursery – 38). It is managed by a Head Teacher and two Deputy Head Teachers; the current Acting Head Teacher is Julie Johnson. * Grade of this post is Principal Teacher – Job Size 4
* Salary includes a Distant Islands Allowance of £2,997 per annum (pro rata)
* Permanent full‑time post for 35.0 hours per week
* Preferred candidates will be required to join the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme or have a PVG Scheme update prior to a formal offer of employment
* You must be registered with the General Teaching Council for Scotland (GTCS) prior to starting in post
* A relocation package does not apply to this post
* Interview expenses will be paid from within Shetland
